alessandro was supposed to come september 1st. my mom said that was this friday. looks like she was wrong. him and pretty much the rest of the italian peninsula showed up at my house as i was walking home from mike's house at 11 in the morning in my matching plaid jammies. i was so embarrassed. no one else was home.

me and russo are gonna hit up bright eyes in jersey city in november. that makes me excited all over.
i think im getting my golf clubs soon.
SCHOOL STARTS SOON! REJOICE. MAYBE. a little. kinda. perhaps.
It' inconceivable that this could happen to a (semi) major city. Is this seriously going to become something like a modern day Pompeii? What will they be writing in the newspapers one week from now?

Joyous September, children!
EDIT: looks like someone forgot his 30 days half september, april, june, and novembers.
stella was awesome tonight, and me and jeff added two more movies to our woody allen list that we've seen: love and death & take the money and run. tomorrow its gonna rain, unlike the hell in new orleans, though. that's a pretty bad situation down there, i understand.
so cara is 14 yesterday! happy birthday yo! its a good age :)
i feel awful saying this, and it goes against almost anything i've ever said, but i might be addicted to tony hawk's pro skater.
woot hoot for me legally owning plans now. legally. cant wait till soul meets body becomes the new mr. brightside.
so for my parents' anniversary on monday, im making my mom a mix of one smash hit from every year they've been married.

i don't know how to start a post, so i'm going to start it by claiming that i don't know how to start it, which is the truth.
tomorrow i go to a bbyo convention in pennsylvania until sunday, at which point i will return.
grandma and grandpa were in today. grandpa is not improving, whereas he was pretty unknowledgable of wayne directions, although he's been driving these roads for 13 years. and the worst was trying to play uno with him, because i must have answered 3 or 4 specific questions at least 7 times each. i know it's a part of everyone's life and it's the most natural thing in the world, blahblahblah, but i think it's just as natural to be depressed about it, so bug off.
woody allen is a man to be dealt with. whatever that means, i think it sounds right. that's a guy who's got it all right.
i might be addicted to mini golf.

stars and death cab and the decemberists were all unbelievable. i had one fantastic day, and thusly today i rewarded myself by doing crap. except jeff came over. then andrew. then we decided to see the 40 year old virgin, with my sister and evan levy. but then my mom showed an interest in going. so we ditched the sister and the evan, and saw it with Mr. & Mrs. Kreitner. the movie was pretty funny, and would clearly have not been if not for steve carrell. if you're going to see this movie, i have one piece of advice, and that would be to not go with your parents. ive never been more embarrassed. no, wait. yeah i have. twice, in fact.

edit: maybe it has something to do with that they're all M's. the one's i didn't listen to. i probably just left it on one time after listening to the magnetic fields or something. my apologies.

to kill a mockingbird was good. far better than i thought it would be. i hope everyone in the english classes can take it maturely.
OHMYGOD. RUN! IT's THE N-BOMB!
who wants to start a deathcab4ricky-sponsored book club? until further notice, the current book is "galapagos" by kurt vonnegut. which will be followed by "the lone ranger and tonto fistfight in heaven" by sherman alexie. which will be followed by "the secret life of bees" by sue monk kidd. after reading that book, i wouldnt be surprised if ms. mancinelli herself asks for the surrender of my testosterone.

i found out tonight that i am, in some part, mongolian. who wants to marry me?
i have a new screenname, jsut because. it is as follows:
Bop Bop Ba Bop
Pass judgement, I invite you. I think it's pretty sweet.
i finished vonnegut's dead-eye dick last night. i am a demon when in possession of 200 something pages of pure vonnegut wit. so, in protest of my negligence of the actual summer reading books, my aunt has barred me from her vonnegut shelf. its right there! with nothing better to do, i turned to to kill a mockingbird. on page 113, it is better than i figured it would be, but its such a goddamn slow read.
HAHA. someone stole the identity of a newborn baby. marvelous.
ps. this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

so finally "work" is done. thank god. that's everything i never want to do with my life. all that's left is venice beach, a baseball game, and golfing, and then i'm home!! i appreciate new jersey so much more now.
i just saw a commercial for a larry king live episode about elvis presley, starring his former girlfriend and friends. and then they show footage of the girlfriend and friends on larry king live. how's that live?
my aunt keeps saying that i'm going to be president. pssh. no.

tilly and the wall - fell down the stairs |
] |
so i made it across country. sorry for the lack of posts, but who knew that dodge city, kansas doesn't get cell phone service?! the trip was absolutely amazing, one of the absolute greatest times of my life. my state count is now at a solid 33 and i walk away with a much greater respect for all outside wayne, new jersey.
my dad flies off monday morning and then i leave two wednesdays later. i guess we're just gonna spend the time exploring orange county and LA area. beverly hills, hollywood, malibu, venice beach, etc. today we spent the day in laguna beach. man, i dislike orange county already. i mean, yeah it's gotta be the most laid-back place in the world, but everyone's just so goddamn pretty and similar. im homesick for the first time in my life. plus im really nervous about my flight. i hate planes.
tilly and the wall is my new favorite band. actually, that statement holds no water. they're actually my second favorite band. death cab. i love tilly.
im not gonna post pictures of the last week and the week coming up. we've taken like 500 already, so thatd be frustrating and pointless. plus, who needs 100 pictures of the grand canyon?
am i the only one who misses school? i miss the ritual. five days work. two days break.
i havent seen any friends since the last day of school. and cara i saw once.
i started a new vonnegut book today. god bless you, mr. rosewater.
and if i could reverse i dont think that itd be worth it cause i know in my heart i would never let you tumble to the ground!

monday august 1st- arrive in albuquerque, new mexico at 4 PM. renting a car for the next couple days, cause we're splitting the time between albuquerque, flagstaff AZ, and the Grand Canyon.

sunday august 7th-wednesday august 17th- LOADS OF FUN IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!!!
i'm looking forward to this trip so very very much. i hope dad doesnt ruin it by overplanning or overresearching, which is bound to happen. itll be awesome no matter what. i'm bringing my laptop to report on the day's activities, cause i might get internet with the verizon card. plus i've got the whole plane ride home to watch dvd's and stuff. plus, i need to get acquainted with some new bands i threw on the ipod such as the following: architecture in helsinki, big japan (one of my new favorites), kind of like spitting, and plus i got the future soundtrack for america.
in any case, im very excited for the trip, am very excited for me and cara's day in the city with death cab. mom just came home with rainbow sherbert, so off i go. pe@ce.

Greetings & salutations!
Camp was great. It was an amazing end to an amazing chapter of Ricky. I'll be back in 2009. I'm so homesick right now. In other news, I leave for the American frontiers and California on Friday. I'm extremely excited, but not half as much as I miss camp.
Tonight was the celebrations for my dad's 50th. Weird-o named Cara showed up. Was a nice little rendezvous in the middle of a here-one-day-gone-the-other kinda summer. That was nice.
It's good to be home, too. I've matured a lot recently. I think. I look forward to the year. I, I, I, I.
I don't like writing everything here so I'm not going to. I need some time off from the computer. It seems unnatural and awkward. I'm working on about five hours sleep the last four or five days, so I'm going go go.
I miss everything.
